Grant Received from NSW Government Community Building Partnership (CBP) 2022 program
The MCG has been successful in obtaining a grant of $8,600 from the NSW Government Community Building Partnership (CBP) for the project entitled “Improvements to Miranda Community Garden”. The grant provides us with a semi-permanent louvered gazebo over our outdoor meeting area and two electric hand driers with installation for the toilets. The louvered gazebo was completed in June 2023. Photos of the gazebo follow:
Scarecrows from Bates Drive School
For many years, Bates Drive School have kindly made us scarecrows for the garden. Our thanks are extended to the students and teachers for their wonderful work. The garden makes a donation to the school in appreciation. Photos of two recent scarecrows follow:

10th Anniversary Celebrations
The MCG held its 10th birthday celebration at the garden on Sunday 15th March 2020. Many people said how much they enjoyed the day, particularly the yummy lunch. We were lucky with the weather which enabled the high school music groups to perform outside near the garden. Both the Kirrawee High Year 10 Combo and the Caringbah High Jazz Combo performed brilliantly. Some photos follow:

We have another winner!! Anne Barber received a well-deserved Cook Community Award from the Prime Minister on Saturday 4th December 2021 for her services to the Miranda Community Garden. Congratulations Anne – we are all very proud of you. A few photographs follow.
